It's 6am, Friday-4/11. Do you know where Tim and Joan are? Said Tim, "Hooray, hooray, we're on our way." That's right, the beginning of our five-week roadtrip adventure. Stopped for lunch at the Irish Channel in Washington, DC. Sophisticated interior, friendly, and good comfort food.To work off that comfort food, we biked two hours through the city and enjoyed the National Cherry Blossom festivities. For interest, this is the 96th Anniversary of the gift of trees which symbolizes the enduring friendship between the citizens of the US and Japan.
On to Mom's house and more comfort food. Exquisite pot roast, sides, birthday cake and gifts. Thanks Mom and Brenda. On Saturday-4/12, Tim found some tools and repaired a few items. Mom waves goodbye.
A nice two-hour ride to Midlothian, VA. Shhhhh!, Nathan is sleeping. Great to catch up with Eric and Susan.
