VIRGINIA

Sunday, 4/13 in Midlothian, Virginia. Nathan was surprised to see his Memaw Joan and Grandpa TimTim. He is now 22 months old with quite a vivacious personality. Becoming grandparents creates a rejuvenation where you just want to "whoop it up," and we have certainly enjoyed our playdates with both Nathan and Ryan. No doubt, our future adventures will include them and other grandkids to come.

During the service at Journey Christian Church, we witnessed the baptism (full immersion) of Emily (Susan's sister) and her fiance, Kevin. Congratulations! also on their upcoming marriage 6/28/08. One of our travel resolutions was to eat healthy and exercise, especially after the delicious bonvoyage meal at Erin and Rob's. Eric and Susan prepared...yes, you guessed it... a typical southern kind of meal ending with brownies and ice cream. Yum. Tim discovered that his favorite on-line store was located nearby, so off we go shopping at "Northern Tools" on Monday, 4/14. Of course, Grandpa had to explain tool tips and trends to Nathan.

Susan showed us ultrasound photos from her medical checkup today. She is 13 weeks along and the little one is 3" in length, about the size of an apple. Quite obvious were the facial features, ears and hands (waving!). The Virginia visit has been special and tomorrow morning we leave, destination Outer Banks.
