ROADTRIP COMPANIONS

Wed, 4/30. We indeed went jogging; however, Cory and his chef co-workers outdid themselves again and brought out their breakfast food creations to dine for. Will always remember the banana nut bread french toast with caramelized bananas, whipped cream and fresh fruit.

Special thanks and appreciation go to Cory and his spirited and creative co-workers Rob, Lydia, Patricia, Trevor and Justin for their wonderful meals and hospitality!

Hooray! Luis and Mimi's flight has arrived and we will be roadtripping together for 10 days. Alas!...Tim has found a napping buddy.

For dinner, Cory selected the Garduno's Restaurant and Cantina in Scottsdale. Bring on the margaritas! We had great authentic Mexican food and a FUN evening.

Thurs, 5/1. A "sad" goodbye to Cory, Sheri and memorable Phoenix. Hope to see you again soon! Must get on the road again. We head north to Sedona and come upon magnificent red-rock formations.

Sedona's red rock country has long inspired artists of all sorts and has a growing New Age population. It's known for its surrounding vortex...an invisible source of electromagnetic energy Sedona's psychics and spiritual healers claim they can tap into.

Tim (sleeping in the car) and Luis (in the chair) didn't quite catch the energy. Mimi and I had lots of energy to shop the local arts and craft venues.

The temperature starting dropping again and the scenery changed as we drove further north and through the winding Red Rock Secret Mtn Wilderness and Flagstaff.

WE'RE HERE....THE GRAND CANYON!
